Roaches, also known as cockroaches, are insects belonging to the order Blattodea. They are characterized by their flattened bodies, long antennae, and typically brown or black coloration. Roaches are known for their adaptability and can thrive in various environments. While some species are considered pests due to their potential to spread diseases and infest homes or businesses, others play important roles in ecosystems by decomposing organic matter.
Bed bugs are small, reddish-brown parasitic insects that belong to the family Cimicidae. They feed exclusively on blood, often from humans or animals, and are most active at night. Bed bugs are known for their ability to hide in cracks, crevices, and bedding, making them difficult to detect and eliminate. Infestations can lead to skin irritation, allergic reactions, and psychological distress for those affected. Bed bugs are a common concern in areas where people sleep.
Mosquitoes are small flying insects belonging to the family Culicidae. They are recognized by their slender bodies, long legs, and distinctive proboscis (a needle-like mouthpart) used for feeding on the blood of animals, including humans. Mosquitoes are known vectors of various diseases, including malaria, dengue fever, and Zika virus, as they can transmit pathogens when they bite. Rats are highly adaptable and can be found in various habitats around the world. While some species are considered pests due to their ability to spread diseases and cause damage, others serve ecological roles in ecosystems. Rats are known for their intelligence, agility, and ability to reproduce rapidly.
Wildlife includes raccoons, possums, skunks, bobcats and others. Raccoons are medium-sized, nocturnal mammals native to North America. They are characterized by their distinctive black mask-like markings around their eyes and bushy, ringed tails. Raccoons are opportunistic omnivores, meaning they eat a wide range of foods, including fruits, vegetables, insects, small animals, and even human food from trash cans. They are highly adaptable and are often found in urban and suburban areas.
Snakes are elongated, legless reptiles that belong to the suborder Serpentes. They have a distinct body shape with scales covering their skin and a flexible, muscular body that enables them to move in various ways, including slithering and sidewinding. Snakes come in a wide range of sizes, colors, and patterns, and they are found on every continent except Antarctica.
